1 cup or more baking soda
water
liquid detergent
Sprinkle water generously over the bottom of the oven, then cover grime with enough baking soda so that the surface is completely white. Let the mixture set over night and then wipe up the grease in the morning. When you have cleaned up the worst of the mess, dab a little liquid detergent on a sponge and wash the remaining residue from the oven. If this recipe doesn’t work for you it is probably because you didn’t use enought baking soda and/or water. This oven cleaner is great as it doesn’t leave your oven smelling of strong chemicals and wont taint your food when you first cook in your clean oven.

Pour ½ C of baking soda into a bowl, add enough liquid detergent (aka dish washing liquid) to make a texture like frosting. Scoop the mixture onto a sponge, and wash the surface. This is a great bath and shower cleaner because it rinses easily and doesn’t leave any grit behind.
Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable glycerine to the mixture and store in a sealed glass jar, to keep the product moist. Otherwise just make as much as you need at a time.
½ teaspoon oil (such as olive oil)
¼ cup vinegar or fresh lemon juice
Mix the ingredients in a glass jar. Dab a soft rag into the solution and wipe onto wooden sufaces. Cover the glass jar and store indefinitely.
2 teaspoons tea tree oil
2 cups water
Combine in a spray bottle, shake to blend, and spray on problem areas. Do not rinse. The smell is strong but will dissipate in a few days.
Place about 1 tablespoon of baking soda into the toilet bowl, using the toilet brush scrub at any stains or marks until they disapear.
Flush and leave for a couple of minutes until water is settled
Pour about 1 tablespoon of vinegar into the toilet bowl, scrub again to distribute the vinegar. Leave for 5 minutes.
Flush again, and you're done. Straight vinegar is also great for cleaning the toilet rim, just spray on and wipe off.
Fill a spray bottle with 5% vinegar and top up with water, this is great for cleaning your cutting board, just spray on and leave it to set over night, the smell of vinegar will dissipate within a few hours.
