Now that Grace is here I'm ready to start my next challenge... 365 days of slow cooking...
But before I start I need to set some rules.

I'm thinking that each day my family has to eat something made in the slow cooker, this means it could be breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even pudding. This will also cover left overs.

I will also post any recipe I make on this website, assuming it's not alwasy here. I'm thinking I should add a rule that i have to try a new recipe at least once a fortnight. But not sure what other rules to have.

Do you have any ideas?

Screen free Fridays

The more pregnant I am the more TV George is watching. It's and easy out and lets me rest more and get things done like have a shower in the morning or get dinner ready later in the day. He watches it while eating breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I never planned for George to watch this much TV during the day. I also thought I would limit screen time to an hour a day at most and never thought it would be an issue but it seems as soon as I turn that TV on it just can't seem to turn it off. read more >>

The other night after I was in my PJs while Hubby was settling George for the night I got a knock on the door. It was dark and cold and I really didn't want to answer the door in my PJs but what else could I do.

It was two members of the church of the later day saints aka Mormons

I'm far to polite, I just wanted them gone so I could get one with my evening plus did I mention I was in my PJs. read more >>

My chocolate dilemma

I like Cadbury chocolate!!
My current favourite is crème brulee but I love rocky road and black forest and well anything and everything except maybe dark chocolate.
Yes I realise this isn't real chocolate it's a whole lot of sugar and milk but I still love it.
I didn't notice a change of taste when they added palm oil. I was a complete sucker when they made their bars smaller and loved the new packaging. Basically I was a ignorant consumer that was happy as long as I got my chocolate. read more >>

George is only 2, not quite 3 years old and at the moment all he knows about Easter is he gets Easter eggs and hot cross buns and goes to church, this is not how I want him to think of Easter.  It’s like thinking Christmas is just presents.  read more >>

Name

So since my last post I’ve had a few people ask why I called my son by the name George when it isn't his name.  It is not me trying to make this blog anonymous as it’s far too late for that. But more about how much of my children’s life do I put on the internet as you’ve probably all heard that once it’s on the internet there’s no taking it back.  read more >>
